Dental implants are the current standard for single tooth replacement, and, also, can provide support for ill-fitting loose dentures. Dental implants effectively replace the roots of your teeth that have been lost due to caries (i.e. cavities), periodontal disease, tooth fracture, or failed root canal therapy.
After the implant has been placed, you may need a few months to heal before a crown can be made to replace your tooth. If you would like to have a substitute tooth while you are healing, Dr. Fraser and Dr. Ver Ploeg would be more than happy to discuss your temporary replacement options with you.
